What's New: 1/14/20

We've made some updates to your software, including new functionality that makes excluding rentals from rate changes easier. Additionally, we have an important announcement about upcoming changes to insurance functionality in the Rental Center. Take a look!

Legal Entity

If you do business under a name that is different than your legal business name, you can now populate your legal business name on your leases and other documents. We've added a new field in your Corporate Facility Info settings called Legal Entity.

When you enter your legal business name into this field, you can use the new Legal.Entity document bracket replacement to populate this name into your documents.

We've added the ability to exclude rentals from rate changes. Doing so will automatically cancel any scheduled rate changes for the rental and prevent the rental from having any rate changes applied. You can set up your facility-level Tenant Settings to allow rentals to be excluded from rate changes.

Excluding a rental from rate changes takes a few simple steps in your software.

Coming Soon!
 New Rental Center insurance functionality

As your property management software provider, we feel it is in your best interest for us to build features that help you stay compliant with regulations. Itโ€™s commonly mandated now that the purchase of store-offered insurance cannot be required in order for a tenant to rent a space, so weโ€™re making changes to help you ensure compliance with those regulations.

If you offer store insurance, but you do not accept private insurance, tenants moving in via the Rental Center will have the opportunity to opt out of store insurance at move-in, effective January 28, 2020.

If you'd like to learn more about what to expect from your insurance configuration for Rental Center when the change is released, please take a look at our Rental Center insurance configuration table
