We've made improvements to your software. Today's changes include a new software user permission that helps keep edited custom rates at move-in within a desired range and repairs to known issues.
Editing custom rates - permissions
We've added an additional user permission to the Roles section of your software's Corporate settings. You'll find the new permission, Set rental rate above the highest unit rate at reservation/move-in time, nested beneath Edit rental rate at reservation/move-in time.
When enabled, you can set restrictions on how much higher than the unit's current highest rate a user is permitted to charge when editing a custom rate at move-in. The restrictions offered are:
No Restrictions - This allows a user to set any amount when editing a custom rate.
Restrict By Amount: Change in rate not to exceed _____ - Enabling this permission and entering a value in the field will ensure that users can only raise a rate by X number of dollars.
Restrict By Percentage: Change in rate not to exceed _____ - Enabling this permission and entering a value in the field will ensure that users can only raise a rate by X% when editing a custom rate.
- Choose which rates to consider for restricting a custom rental rate. The highest rate amongst these will be used - This enables you to select a rate to use as a baseline for the above settings. If you select multiple rates here, the highest rate will be used.
Example: You have a 10x10 unit. Its current rate is $100. Its current web rate is $90. If you enable Set rental rate above the highest unit rate at reservation/move-in time for a user role and select Restrict by amount and enter $10, and all of your available rates are selected within the setting, the users with this role will be permitted to charge a maximum amount of $110 for the unit. This is because your current rate, $100, becomes the baseline for the restriction since it is the highest rate set for this unit.
- We repaired an issue that was causing move-in errors when an alternate contact address was only partially filled out.
- We added assigned facilities to Corporate Document templates so you can see which facilities are currently using a template.
